Personal Competencies:

  • Ability to communicate effectivley with people of all levels over the telephone and face to face
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure maximum productivity
  • Ability to take responsibility for assigned tasks
  • Basic IT knowledge, as you’ll be required to print off labels
  • Own transport is required due to rural location
  • A full UK driving license for occasional collections and deliveries is preferred but not essential
  • Eagerness to learn, develop and contribute to the company objectives by undertaking additional tasks

 

Responsibilities & Duties:

We are seeking an operative for our packing department which is where the greenhouses are labelled and packed ready for delivery;

  1. The collating, picking, packing and labelling of customer orders based on packing sheets.
  2. Placing packed and completed customer orders at their relevant collection points.
  3. The scheduling of collection of orders via approved courier and preparing Royal Mail post.
  4. Packing items for stock as requested.
  5. Picking and packing of aluminium to send powder coating then putting this aluminium back to stock when it has been returned.
  6. Reporting of any quality issues to a senior team member.
  7. Cleaning your workstation at the end of each shift.
  8. Collaborating with the team to conduct quarterly stock checks accurately and on time.
  9. Answering the telephone and intercom when required.
  10. Liaising with the sales department regarding returned custome rorders and stock queries.
  11. Complete and maintain missing parts paperwork.
  12. Notifying relevant persons of any deliveries received.
  13. Performing general warehouse duties.
  14. Assisting in other departments as needed.
  15. Complying with company risk assessments and following all Health and Safety regulations.

 

Hours of Work:

Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 15:15, with opportunities for overtime during busy periods.
1 x 20 min paid break and 1 x 15-minute unpaid break

 

Hourly Rate:                               

Starting rate is £12.50 for standard hours and £13.70 overtime rate.
