If ever there was a time to get air flow through your greenhouse, now is it! Pull the shading blinds down to stop sun scorch on plants inside, open vents, louvres and doors early on in the day and if you are going on holiday be thankful for your automatic vents on the Rhino Greenhouse!
Watering plants in the greenhouse is essential at this time of year and ideally you’ll have a water reservoir under the staging to help and a connected water butt by the side of your greenhouse so you can easily water your plants. Don’t over water because that can cause diseases and ideally water in the mornings. Tomatoes especially prefer consistent watering.
Plants in the summer time are susceptible to pests and diseases, so its really important to keep a check on your plants everyday. Typical problems are Botrytis and red spider mite. Water down the floor of the greenhouse in the mornings, and remove any dead or diseased foliage and plants immediately. If you see whitefly, use sticky yellow sheets to catch them.
